woundeddove. not sure what state you live in but they have HEAP which helps with heating costs. there is also a program that offers a cell phone with 250 minutes a month for free. cant remember the name of program though. possible suggestion is go into your state website and click on the link(s) that direct you to the programs that are available in your state including, heating, food, medical programs etc. hope this help. m

To woundeddove. there is a national program called Angel Food Ministries that offers food at discounted prices. They also except food stamps. You can go to there website and it will show you the different options for purchase. they even offer senior meals already prepared at 10 meals for $28. I used to purchase for my parents who loved them. they are linked with local churches in your area & will provide you with the ones closest to you. you order monthly whatever you want they are offering, many selects, the first 2 weeks of the month and they deliver to the church you request. you pick up the 3rd saturday of the month & they will assist u with carrying to car. wonderful affordable program and is not limited to income. open to all. hope this helps. meg

i can so relate to the above individual woundeddove except my financial issues arent as severe & are mostly limited due to the medical costs of Cobra, medications, copays, etc. open to any & all help. including prayers, suggestions, doctors in my area, financial assistance, support, mental health support related not only to disease but to the feelings of hopelessness, isolation, lack of medical compassion, etc! And i definitely feel scared right along with woundeddove.

I am EXTREMELY DESPERATE, due to unforseeable circumstances, i CANT PAY MY BILLS, rent is paid, I DO NOT have a cell phone.
I can't pay my electric, gas, phone, or cable; I am most worried about the electric, gas, and phone.
I have always been able to pay my bills. Heck, I cant even get groceries, I don't have any appetite, but my daughter is living with me again and I really need to work on eating!!!
PLEASE if any one has any suggestions, ideas, even prayers I would be EXTREMELY appreciative.
I never thought I would find myself in this position; I do not have anyone to turn to for help.
    I am very scared!!!
