I can say that with years of use, my antidepressents caused me to lose some of my human feelings. My caring and loving feelings. I became numb to what was going on around me. I was no longer interested in sex and actually divorced my ex husband because he needed someone that cared for him as he was suffering with severe disabilities and I had become cold and uncaring to his plight. I ended up just leaving him without much notice and moving away. I took myself off of the antidepressents and then became sexually aware again with caring and feeling towards other people. I have been on again off again with several different antidepressents and have had the same reaction each and every time. When I came off of Cymbalta, I wanted to kill myself. It became really hard for people to be around me or even deal with me. I became very angry.
I am stuck with the fact that I cannot live without the antidepressents and I don't like myself when I'm on them. I have not found a happy medium yet. I am still a work in progress.
